Our Founder

Legend tells of a man who heard the whispers of hops in the wind. With cauldron and courage, he brewed the first potion that brought fire to the throat and joy to the soul.
That man is Tommy, and this is his tale.

The Tale of Sir Tommy Caprelian,
Brewer of the Realm

Struck by divine muse and the spirit of barley, Sir Tommy ventured forth to a merchant’s shoppe of brewing wares. With but fifty gold coins in hand, he procured a starter kit most modest. He read the sacred scrolls of instruction, boiled his wort with care, and summoned the yeast with a pitch most bold.

Yet lo! When the cauldron did bubble and the air grew rank with the scent of fermentation, Sir Tommy, unknowing of the alchemical rites, did cast out his first batch, fearing it cursed. Ha ha!—a jest oft told in the taverns of Pendragon.

But from failure sprang wisdom. Sir Tommy took to the tomes of brewing lore, and joined the noble fellowship of the San Joaquin Warthogs, a guild of home brewers stout and merry. His passion grew fierce as dragon’s flame, and he enrolled in the hallowed halls of the Siebel Institute of Technology, a place of learning since the year 1868. For four moons he studied the mysteries of malt and hop, and emerged a scholar of the brew.

Inspired once more by the legends of King Arthur Pendragon and the valiant Knights of the Round Table, Sir Tommy christened his house of ale: House of Pendragon. His first creation, a mighty Double IPA, did roar forth like a lion from the cask. But 'twas the Imperial IPA that won him renown, and set him upon the path of destiny.

He took up post as an assistant brewer, keeper of quality and guardian of the lab. Yet his heart yearned for sovereignty. And so, with skill honed and courage steeled, he struck out on his own, founding a brewery of legend and lore.

Now, House of Pendragon standeth proud, its banners flying high, its ales poured with honor. The road ahead is one of expansion, conquest, and glory in the marketplace. And all who drink of Sir Tommy’s brew shall know they sip from the cup of a true Pendragon.
